GYM BOX Nike Training Club Review With Instructor Desmond Blakely

I think overall this has to be one of my fav classes and one that I will always aim to do. This boot camp style class includes moves such as squats, lunges, burpees, sit-ups, jogging and heaps of toning moves. It's a non stop go hard class that you know is gonna get you results fast. Desmond was a fantastic instructor pushing individuals to really give it all they've got making sure each person who attended has achieved their fitness goal. He wouldn't let me get away with a half hearted lunge, lol which I was very grateful for the next day. My whole entire body was aching the day after but I also looked more toned all over. Especially my legs. This class is really good for people of all ages and ability as the exercise can be adapted to suit you as an individual. Be warned though, you won't get the results you crave if you don't put all effort in. Be prepared to sweat! Let's do this!

GYM BOX Rave with instructor Ricky Boon


This class is aimed at people who want something different and to add a bit of fun to there workout. Its for people of all ages but I would say a little co-ordination would be handy as routines and dance style moves are involved. At the start of the class you are given a small trampoline and some glow sticks.. yes you read it right the first time Glow Sticks, to get ready for your workout. Throughout the class you will be jumping and stepping on the trampoline to singalong club classics as well and pumping those glow sticks in the air for a good full body cardio workout. Different variations are also given If you feel you can push a little harder which is always nice too. After this workout my stomach was really flat the next day showing that it really did work me out as well as being lots of fun. I will definitely be going back to do another class soon. Glow sticks up who's with me :)

GYM BOX Pin Up Pole Class with Instructor Isis


Wow what a class! So to do this session I went to the GYM BOX in Bank. Its still got the same Urban feel as the Covent Garden one and is super trendy. I quickly got changed and went in the studio to get started to see three fitness poles set up with a large platform base on the bottom of each one. We started off with a few stretches as with this class you will be required to use muscles and parts of the body your not used to using everyday. This was my first ever class of this nature and I wasn't missing this part. After the stretches we moved onto a warm up with some gentle moves on the pole working all of the body and then the fun began. I have to say I did feel a little self conscious as I had never done anything like this before and was very scared of what I might look like. Isis however made me feel very comfortable whilst I was giving the moves a good old go on the pole to the funky music.

The moves I lernt in my first class were:
Fireman spin 
Climb and sit
Bottoms up 
Seated chair spin 
Cartwheel kick 

I am pleased to announce that I did managed to do them all and thoroughly enjoyed it. I could feel how this was in fact a very good workout for the whole body and would say this is good for conditioning your body as well as strengthening. The next day I could feel my thighs had a great workout so I would also say that this class is good for toning legs if that is something you would like to do (I think thats the case for most of us women).
Not only that though…. I walked away from the class feeling like I had achieved something new and exciting. I will definitely be giving this class another go.

I have a new food obsession.. I can't get enough Avocados at the moment and heres some info on them that makes them even more fab!
