How often do you Self Reflect?

Sometimes its hard to take a long hard look in the mirror at yourself and reflect on who you are, who you've become, what you've learnt, and decide which direction you're heading next. For me this is something I tend to notice myself doing quite often when I travel with my job, and usually find myself using this time to make a list of things I need to do and how I'm going to get them done. Although I think this is very productive I have recently learnt how important it is to actually stop and think about how far you've come, and what you have already accomplished. I realised I was so stuck on fast forward that I didn't have time to enjoy the moments that I had created as I was already on to the next. Connecting your mind to your body is so important and I had a moment of Self Reflection in which I realised... a more open conversation with myself is actually very necessary and also a very good thing to do from time to time. It usually comes at times when you least expect it, for me usually when I'm near natural elements like the sea, a burning flame or even walking on open land. I spend so much time on my computer and other digital devices, so taking time out from the tech world that I love but have become obsessed with, is very important. Part of my New Years Plan is to give myself more "reflection time"

I would love to hear how you guys like to self reflect. Is it in the mirror?, is it in the shower? comment below and share your stories :)

Here are some images from a shoot I did recently for designer CUCKOO FASHION that appeared in KHUSH Magazine. I had so much fun shooting this, the KHUSH team are always fun to work with. Although I don't get to wear it much, Asian fashion always seems to wow me. I absolutely love all the designs and work that goes into each piece... Absolutely stunning. This collection was extremely beautiful and I felt so blessed to be a part of this shoot. Hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and I would love to know what you think in the comments below ;)

Judging A Person Does Not Define Who They Are.. It Defines Who You Are!

Most people do it, in fact everyone seems to do it, I'm talking about Judging people.
As a model I get judged on my looks every single day. Although at first it was quite annoying, it is actually something I have grown to accept as part of my job. This has forced me to grow a thick skin about any snide comments and outrageous remarks, and has made me see that everyone no matter how big or small has an "opinion". Now since becoming aware of this sometime ago I am quite aware about judging others and I try and avoid it whenever I can, but this is nearly impossible to do full time. I have come to the conclusion that when you judge someone it is really just a matter of opinion and your own perception and thoughts on a certain someone, therefore this is a reflection on you and really it doesn't define the other person at all, but it defines yourself.
I hope that you enjoy my posts and I would love your comments on my blog ;)

adidas Adizero Adios and Opening Ceremony Bomber Jacket

Had fun today teaming up this cute little combo. As you guys know I'm often on the run and had a few meetings today in central, so I decided to put this trendy casual look together by adidas.
The Bomber is an item from their Opening Ceremony Line and is the perfect item to inject a little colour back into your gloomy winter wardrobes. I love the style and fit of this and it will definitely be a key piece in my wardrobe this season. I'm a huge fan of jackets in fact about 50% of my wardrobe space is dedicated to jackets but this is without a doubt an original so I definitely need to make some room ;)

The Adizero Adios are my new fav trainer from adidas. I was actually a few mins behind schedule and decided to run for my train and was so surprised to feel so light on my feet. The Adizero Adios are highly rated for being, Light, Bright, Comfortable, Good for Balance, Flexibility and are also rated good for long distance runs.

M A C in Paris

So I went to Paris for the World Poker Tour (WPT) and one of the events of this trip was the DISCO FEVER themed players party. The other Royal Flush Girls and I were treated to getting our glittery Disco makeup done in the lush MAC store in the centre of Paris. Here's a few pictures of my look of the night. My make-up artist was Raouda Matoussi who fused Arabic with Disco and added some gorgeous colour and sparkle to my look.

To Gym Solo or with a GYMBOX "VERY PT"

Another day of going to the gym, I began a routine of incline treadmill walking and squats to try and target my glutes to help improve my shape without adding too much muscle to my quads. Most of us women don't want to look too masculine and have a fear of getting too bulky which is why the majority of us stay out of the over crowded and testosterone filled weights room.
By chance a trainer passed by and we had a quick chat about training and lifestyle, I was quite intrigued by his training principles and ideas and decided to do a session with him to find out more.

My first session with Gymbox Very Personal Trainer Richie Byrne turned out to be very informative and I actually learned what I thought was the right thing to do in the gym actually turned out not to be doing me any favours at all. I also learned a whole host of training tips that will no doubt improve my training sessions and results in the future.

Richie has worked with some of the top sports specialists in Britain and his exercise programming and knowledge are a cut above. He is 100% devoted to helping people reach their goals and have a great time whilst accomplishing them.

We did a 45 minute workout that was intense, demanding, fun and most of all left me feeling like I really had worked to my maximum. Something many of us don't do in the gym. We go and train but do we actually train to our full potential ...? Many of us go through the motions and work up a sweat, but you can sweat by sitting still in a sauna, sweat does not mean you are going to get results. You must push your body to the extreme to induce a adaptation, meaning your body will change to be able to do the tasks you are giving it more easily.
We did a glute workout that really targeted the areas I wanted and I am still feeling the effects 2 days later!!!
We have both decided to put me on an intense training program to see how much of a change we can get in our dedicated time with diet change and hard core training. I will be posting up my progress for you so you can see how it all works ;)
If you would like to enquire about training with Richie please contact GYMBOX Holborn on 020 7400 1919
